Description

The FAULHABER deer call, which can be pushed together in three parts, weighs only 100 grams and is about 47 cm long. Its soft yet powerful acoustics make the use of heavy, unwieldy triton shells unnecessary, as does the use of primitive aids due to its unbreakability and weather resistance. Despite requiring very little space, its effect is hard to beat.

How much this deer call is appreciated by big game hunters can be seen from a letter written by an old head forester and teacher in the use of the deer call, as well as from various enthusiastic comments:

The FAULHABER roe fawn distress call (fawn alarm call blatter) is held in the hand and mouth in the same way as the fiepblatter. To produce the monosyllabic, hardly ever vibrating roe fawn call, which sounds like an “i” and can be heard at about 400 to 500 paces and has the incidental pitch of a “three-stroke E”, the sound “i” is pushed sharply into the instrument, held for 1/3, 1/2 to 3/4 of a second and then broken off briefly. (Use sparingly, only when a buck is standing with a goat, as mother goats are very disturbed, the “Locker” also works as a “brake” for red deer, fallow deer and roe deer on driven hunts).
